Entrants must be 18 or older and residents of Maine or New Hampshire if registering in the Saco store and residents of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Connecticut if registering in the North Attleboro store. Registration can also be completed via Facebook! Please help spread the word by sharing on your social media connections! Drawings will take place on Valentines Day, Friday, February 14th, 2015. That's some real love. It's our way of thanking our customers, and giving someone a once-in-a life- time feeling of winning a car.
It is not hard to see that our mission statement here at Patriot Subaru is something that we take pride in both at work and at home. Zach Reed, son of Glen Reed (Service Manager- Saco), has been saving his money throughout the year and in December goes shopping for toys to donate to our annual Toys for Tots toy drive. Zach has been doing this for a couple of years now and takes great pride in giving back to his community. Thank you for your kind and generous donation Zach!
Subaru Models Receive IIHS Top Safety Pick (TSP) For 2015 FIVE MODELS ALSO RATED TSP + BY INSTITUTE
CHERRY
HILL, N.J., Dec. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Subaru of America, Inc. announced
today that all seven 2015 Subaru models; the Legacy, Outback, Forester, BRZ,
WRX/STI, Impreza and XV Crosstrek, have earned 2015 Top Safety Pick awards from
the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Subaru is the only
manufacturer with IIHS Top Safety Picks for all models for six years running
(2010-2015). Furthermore,
five of the seven vehicles also earn 2015 Top Safety Pick+ status; Subaru
Forester, Legacy, Outback, Impreza, and XV Crosstrek, when equipped with
optional EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology. Top
Safety Pick+ (TSP+) is the highest standard of safety the Insti- tute can award
and the 2015 Subaru Legacy, Outback, Forester, Impreza and XV Crosstrek were
awarded the highest possible rat- ing of "Superior" for front crash
prevention. When equipped with the optional EyeSight, these five 2015 models
also earned 6 of 6 points for front crash prevention. Impreza and XV Crosstrek
are the only cars in the entire small car category to achieve the
"Superior" rating. Beginning with model year 2015, the Impreza and XV
Crosstrek joined the Legacy, Out- back and Forester carlines in offering the
award-winning Eye- Sight® Driver Assist Technology, which includes Adaptive
Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Vehicle Lane Departure Warn- ing.
Subaru EyeSight was the first system ever to use only stereo camera technology
to detect objects such as vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. Since its U.S.
debut in 2012, features available on this system have been highly praised.
"We are very pleased that the IIHS has recognized Subaru in their recent
tests," said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru
of America, Inc. "Safety is a long-time hallmark of the Subaru brand and
we are proud to have the IIHS' 2015 Top Safety Pick endorsement for every
vehicle in our line-up."
To win 2015 Top Safety Pick, a vehicle must have "Good" ratings in all four tests of high-speed front and side crash tests, a rollover test, and evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts. In addition, "Good" or "Acceptable" performance in a small overlap front test introduced in 2012 is also required. The same level of performance in those tests, along with an "Advanced" or "Superior" rating for front crash prevention, is required for the higher accolade, 2015 Top Safety Pick+.

End Holiday Celebrations at Patriot Subaru
Two great teams celebrated the close of 2014, each with cheerful and joyous holiday parties. Saco re- turned to the Portland Marriot for a regal gala, with an outstanding live band and 3 stations of gourmet delicacies. North Attleboro took flight to Luciano's, a cozy Italian-American restaurant with a self- described "rat-pack ambiance"! Both teams had their dancing shoes on, partying into the night.
Adam and Lisa Arens hosted the two events, which showcased some great prizes, including flat screen TVs, tablets, phones, and cash that were raffled off. Reflecting on the year, Adam noted that in Saco, we posted new highs in sales, service, and parts, and continued the amazing tradition of rewarding all employees with a bonus check. Alas, we were just a bit short on the overall goal, which kept us out of the extra bonus money, but no one said it would be easy. It's there for 2015, and we'll make it happen. Adam framed the occasion with praise and a challenge; "We're twice as good as we should be, but half as good as we can be." In North Attleboro, with just over 4 months under the belt, the scenario is different, but the sentiment was the same. The team is new and developing, systems are smoothing out, and we're poised to have a great 2015. We're ahead of what Subaru and SNE expected of us. Twice as good as we should be, half as good as we can be!
New to Patriot Subaru for 2015!
A new charitable program was added for the
Saco
team. Every employee who has been with the company for one full year, and
remains with the company for the full 2015 calendar year will be given an
opportunity to name a local charitable 501c3 organization, that will receive
$250 from Patriot Subaru. The employee will submit a request, and outline their
reason why they would like to see that group receive funding. Ideally, it would
be an organization where the employee is actively engaged. A generous and
unique offer from Adam! The program will eventually be added to NA once
employees have surpassed one year of service, and are with the company through-
out 2016.
Our last big event of 2014 was the Preble Street Food Drive. This event raised enough food to stuff a Forester. Our customers, members of the community, and employees enjoyed breakfast hosted by volunteers from Preble Street and were entertained with a juggling act starring our very own Glen Reed!
A NOTE FROM THE DESK OFDON McEWEN, GENERAL MANAGER, OF PATRIOT SUBARU AT NORTH ATTLEBORO
Happy New Year! We are all ready for a great year in North Attleboro, it's been a steep learning curve but we have worked out the kinks and have built what we believe to be a world class team. On a personal note I have been to 31 Christmas parties in my auto- motive career, some fancy places and fancy meals but none compare to this year. It was nice to be among friends and meet family members, Adam and Lisa were gracious hosts-especially the part where they handed out checks! P.S. If you are ever in North Attleboro stop by the Parts department and ask Kyle to show you a few of his moves- the kid can dance!
