The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment Award
The 2025 Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment Award recognizes elite Subaru retailer who provide an exceptional customer experience at every interaction with Subaru. These retailers have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to supporting passions and causes in their local communities in important areas such as environment, community, health, education, and pets.
Here at Subaru, we love our community as much as we love our vehicles and are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of all of our customers and neighbors.
The Bird That Loves To Serve
We're passionate about giving back. At Patriot Subaru of Saco, we show love in various ways. In connection with our Subaru Love Promise, we partner with different local charities and organizations to support worthwhile causes. Making a community that's strong takes commitment and hard work. Fortunately, we're willing to do both.
Our Love Promise is separated into five core pillars. Take a look at how we show up for each one.
Patriot Subaru Loves Pets
We love pets. That's no surprise. We partner with groups like Buddy Up Animal Society and the Animal Refuge League to provide support for our four-legged friends in need.
Patriot Subaru and dogs have always gone together. Hard to find a day when there isn't at least one in the store at any given time! We bring our dogs to work, we have bi-annual dog adoptions, dog bath days, pet food drives, and participate in community dog walks/events. It's our home away from home, our extended family, and the dogs are every bit a part of it all!
Patriot Subaru Loves the Earth
We only have one planet. Let's work to protect it. We are a Zero-Land Fill Facility and Energy Star Small Business. This shows that we're putting our effort where our mouth is, leading by example and giving future generations a chance at success.
We built Patriot Subaru keeping the natural resources of Maine in mind, and we have continually improved our performance in relation to the environment. In 2010 we re-dedicated our efforts to becoming the most environmentally conscious dealership in the country. Patriot Subaru continues to work and improve the entire dealership as it relates to all things green. We promote "thinking green" practices on everything we do, striving to be better, both at the store and at home. It's the right thing to do.
Patriot Subaru Loves to Care
We care. Our Subaru Loves to Care pillar provides support for people suffering from critical illnesses and their families. We recognize how trying this time can be and want to provide a helping hand as they navigate through it. Our hope is that by showing how much we care, we can inspire others to do the same.
Patriot Subaru Loves to Help
Let's work together to ensure no one goes hungry or is without a place to call home. Let's work together to ensure our community embraces compassion and acceptance. Through our partnerships with groups like Big Brothers Big Sisters, PRIDE Portland, ME Public Broadcasting Network, and the American Red Cross, we give back in a multitude of ways.
In January of 2023, we worked in conjunction with the national Subaru Loves To Help initiative, purchased over 300 pairs of children's shoes and socks, and brought them to Family Forward Maine in Biddeford for a special afternoon of distribution.
Patriot Subaru Loves Learning
Everyone deserves the right to a good education and facilities that are safe and up-to-date. We partner with local education organizations to provide support that gets us one step closer to this ideal. It's a worthwhile change that supports the entire community.
In September of 2023, Patriot provided a $3000 credit to the AdoptAClassroom.org online store, which gave the opportunity for 6 JFK Memorial School teachers to spend $500 on their classroom, buying various supplies that fit their needs. This was all part of a national Subaru Love Promise initiative, with Subaru retailers nationally participating to help local schools. Too many teachers have to reach into their own pockets to buy extra supplies, so there is a need. Thank you JFK Memorial School, for all you do for the kids in our community!
