And here's how it all happened!
The 7th Annual Subaru "Share The Love" for 2014-2015 is over, the biggest year yet. This year, Subaru will donate up to $15 million dollars, pushing the 7 year total to $50 million!
Subaru donated $250 for every new Subaru sold between November 20, 2014 and January 2, 2015. The choice of where that $250 went was up to the customer, and they selected from one of five charities. The participating charities this season were:
- ASPCA
- Make-A-Wish
- Meals on Wheels Association of America
- National Park Foundation
- One Local Hometown Charity selected by the dealer. For Patriot Subaru in Saco, Maine, that charity is Preble Street, of Portland.
Patriot Subaru General Manager Brian Beattie welcomes Preble Street associates Melanie McKean, Development Coordinator, and Elena Schmidt, Chief Development Officer.
The mission of Preble Street is to provide accessible barrier-free services to empower people experiencing problems with homelessness, housing, hunger, and poverty, and to advocate for solutions to these problems.
Patriot Subaru has been engaged with a wide variety of community programs since it first opened in 2003. Annual donations exceeding $100,000, in addition to hundreds of hours of volunteer efforts with charity, educational, animal, and community programs.
We thank you for helping us Share The Love!
Preble Street Executive Director Mark Swann joins Patriot Subaru's Ashley Poirier and Jim Connolly at the Subaru Digital Showroom, where customers can choose from one of five charities for the Share The Love Event. Preble Street is Patriot Subaru's local charity.
Preble Street Pancake Breakfast and Food Drive. Here, Melanie McKean from Preble Street is helping to serve some of the hungry sales associates and customers. She joined Patriot Subaru Service Manager Glen Reed, and his son Zack to help load the Forester with donations brought in by employees and customers. We stuffed it several times!

The team was entertained by the juggling skills of Glen Reed and Mark Swann. Balls, bowling pins, rings..all up in the air! These guys were great!
