It's Electric! Introducing the 2023 Subaru Solterra™
May 2022....and we are on the cusp of being able to officially order a Solterra for those of you who placed an initial reservation. We want to make sure that we communicate all of the information you need to outfit your new electric Subaru. That includes trim levels, color options, and pricing. We are expecting to receive more info on the factory installed accessories, so we will keep communicating throughout this process. Finding new Subaru vehicles for sale has never been this exciting.
The Subaru Solterra is an exciting first for the brand and a major step toward an emission-free future. Specifically, this is the first-ever all-electric vehicle from Subaru, and it comes on the e-Subaru Global Platform, paving the way for future all-electric Subaru models.
We can start by confirming that the 2023 Solterra will qualify
for the $7500 federal tax credit, plus there may be state and local
incentives to take advantage of as well. The Solterra is the first
all-electric Subaru vehicle - ever. Building on everything you know and
love Subaru for, the Solterra will further the brand's commitment to the
environment. You'll like the fact that all Solterras can be fast
charged (Level #) to 80% in roughly an hour. You might want to consider
contacting and consulting an electrician if you would like to install a
Level 2 charger at your home.

Towing Capacity
Like the other specs surrounding it, the specific towing capacity achieved will have to wait for the 2023 Subaru Solterra release date. As pure speculation, though, we think it should be on par with its brothers in the lineup. For instance, the adventurous, likely similar-sized 2021 Outback® can tow up to 3,500 lbs when properly equipped. The 2021 Forester®, a small Subaru SUV, can tow up to 1,500 lbs when properly equipped. On the top end, the large and in-charge 2021 Ascent® can tow up to 5,000 lbs when properly equipped.
Where within this range it'll fall, we will learn shortly. As a guess
based on the crossover SUV size, and basis for future electric models,
we think a maximum towing capacity between 2,000 and 4,000 lbs will
accompany the Solterra. Soon as we get the details here, we will post.
