A Red Cross Blood Drive, and Toy Drive was held at Patriot Subaru, with special guest hosts, The Patriot Riders of Maine. Patriot Riders focus on providing local Veterans, Veterans Families, as well as our 1st Responders & community, support and assistance. Great success!  We filled 6 large bins with unwrapped toys, plus 4 new bikes!  The blood drive had more than 40 donors.  Patriot Subaru provided a delicious free breakfast of bacon, eggs, pancakes,  followed by a free BBQ with burgs and dogs at noon.  We thank everyone who helped out, and everyone who donated either blood, a toy, or both!

2013 Patriot Subaru -Scarborough Little League Baseball team had a terrific season and loads of fun.
8-5 record, and lost an extra inning thriller to the Lions for the Championship. We're proud of you guys! Dog Adoption Day is Huge Success!
On Sat June 8th, 2013, Patriot Subaru welcomed Maine Lab Rescue to the store, with 20 dogs in tow!
With great anticipation for the event, the store was filled with dogs and people for the morning and afternoon. In the end, 13 families made new homes for dogs, a tremendous success.

Patriot Subaru had announced prior to the event that we would provide $100 towards the cost of the first 10 adoptions, but we didn't stop at 10. All 13 received the help - that's the Patriot way!

Maine Lab Rescue  is based in Windham,ME. They are a foster-based program, so the dogs came into the store with their respective foster families. They met the prospective adoptive families, and time was taken to get to know each other.  Maine Lab Rescue is very particular and cautious about placing any dog with a family.  Each dog spent several hours getting to know the family, before any final arrangements were made.  A few of the dogs did go home with Patriot Subaru employees!

But it's not just selling and servicing cars and trucks, it's about being involved in many community activities, employee events, and charitable programs.  The best way to check out current activities is on our Facebook  page, as well as to follow us on Twitter . Those programs are stocked daily with up to the minute activity.  Aside from that, here's a few highlights!

November 2012:  Patriot Subaru employees, customers, and friends donated over $5000 to the Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Fund, a number that was then matched by Patriot Subaru.
The total donation to the Red Cross came to $10,256. Thank you all who contributed, it was greatly appreciated and very,very needed.

Efficiency Maine is a Maine state program that promotes efficient use of electricity and cost reduction, and provides financial assistance to businesses able to make a commitment to more efficient lighting programs. Patriot invested into a complete retrofitting of all outdoor light fixtures by installing LED lights. EM provided a 35% rebate. The investment should be recovered inside of 5 years, but immediately the annual lighting bill will be reduced by an estimated $13k. Patriot is the first auto dealer in the state to make this energy saving decision, and was honored in a special ceremony at the store. October 2012:  Automotive News partnered with the independent Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to conduct this nationwide program. Patriot earned the distinctive honor of being ranked #1 in New England, #5 in the U.S.  Congrats team!

 March 2012: The Subaru Stellar Care Award is a distinction given to a small percentage of Subaru dealers nationally. A Subaru dealership must meet and maintain a long list of performance standards and objectives established by Subaru of America, Inc. and pass ongoing customer review. Patriot is extremely proud to have earned Stellar Care status for 8 consecutive years, every year we've been in business.

Share the Love! Animal Refuge League at Patriot Subaru 
Adoption, Micro-chipping, raffles and refreshments
Event Took Place on Saturday, December 4, 2010   11am-3pm

The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland and Patriot Subaru partnered to Share the Love and Find Forever Homes for Maine's homeless pets.  Studies have estimated 70 percent of Subaru owners have pets; more than any other auto manufacturer. (But we knew that anyway!)     The event included a micro-chipping clinic, readings by animal Communicator Sara Moore, pet related items for sale, raffles, and a donation drive.  Patriot wants to thank everyone who visited, and the folks at the Animal Refuge League for setting up a well-attended and great event! 

Patriot Subaru earned the Energy Star Small Business Award for 2010.  This is a nationally recognized award, and the first time a small business in Maine has won the award since it started in 2000. The award was earned for Patriot's commitment to reducing energy consumption, efficient energy use, recycling programs, and community leadership.

Subaru annually recognizes their Top 25 dealers (out of 614!) with their coveted Chairman's Roundtable Award. Patriot Subaru is proud to be the recipient of the 2009 award, and was the only dealer in Maine to receive this special recognition from Subaru.In addition, Patriot also won Subaru of New England's President's Club Award, signifying excellence in customer service, sales volume and community leadership.
